The English Specialist
I am a qualified and experienced English Teacher who can teach all age groups. I hold a Masters Degree In Text and Performance from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Birkbeck University, a 1st Class (hons) degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies and a PGCE. I also carry along with me a wealth of experience including publishing, media, business and theatre.
My expertise in English allows me to help all students understand even the most complex facets of the subject. My passion for language and literature will be contagious as I teach students to master English at every level. I have studied most literary movements commencing with Geoffrey Chaucer, through to modern 21st century texts, with a specialism in Shakespearian and Jacobean Plays.
In addition to english tuition I also offer tuition in theatre studies, drama, performing arts and acting. I studied at one of the top conservatoire drama schools in London when I was 18 and am a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Birkbeck University.
Aside from education I have also worked for companies such as the BBC Worldwide, Daily Mail Group and Emap.
I established Motiv8 tutors to help students who are feeling the strain of being placed in ever increasing class sizes. It is no big secret that the education system is buckling under the government austerity measures which means that teachers are being forced to thinly spread their valuable 1-2-1 time across more students. The outcome is increased competition for the teachers attention, leading to increased behavioural issues from those who are struggling to get help. Instead of delivering high quality lessons, teachers are often having to spend more time dealing with bad behaviour. This will be directly affecting your child's academic progress. The second outcome of the increased strain on teachers classroom time is a drop in student motivation, if they can't get the individual help on the more advanced nuances of academic study their ability to produce quality work is hampered, resulting in a huge drop in motivation.

A - level English
